“New Sensitivity.” This theme marks a significant shift in the event’s focus, moving away from trend forecasting and towards a more holistic exploration of transformation and sustainability in the textile industry.

Sustainable materials of tomorrow. Themes of this year’s overarching Heimtextil Trend theme ‘Textiles Matter’: Make and Remake, Continuous, From Earth and Nature Engineered. Together, these inspiring themes encourage manufacturers and consumers alike to focus on a more sustainable production cycle – highlighting the creativity, innovation and positivity of moving from a linear ‘take, make, throw away’ system to a circular system where materials are reused and stay in use for longer.

The overarching theme is “Where I belong”, which invites visitors to take an inspiring journey of discovery thanks to its numerous interactive elements.

Heimtextil set a standard in terms of sustainability: after the first global climate protection agreement for the textile industry was signed by 40 leading fashion companies, organisations and associations at the World Climate Conference in Katowice last December, the focus in Frankfurt was also on environmental progress in the textile industry.
